The purpose of this activity, is to present a video about a city modelled before by the teacher so that students can create one on their own. In this case, the video is about The European Capital of Culture 2019 that has been won by Matera, an Italian City. The video shows the stunning city with its beautiful landscapes so that students can discover a new European city and it is quite useful for students because it links the culture with the use of the English language.

Before watching the video, the teacher should explain to the class that The European Capital of Culture is a city designed very year by the European Union that has to organise a series of cultural events with a strong Eurpean dimension.

This speaking task is based on a dynamic activity whose aim is to motivate the class to speak aloud without feeling scared in front of the others.

The goal of this task is focused on formulating some sentences starting from some prompts that students can see through a power point. This powerpoint is called "Ball Paper" as during its presentation, students have to throw a paper ball every time they see a "paper ball" slide correlated with a piece of music. Whenever the music stops, there will be a slide with a sentence and the student who has got the paper ball in his/her hands, he/she has to complete the task.

The content is challenging enough because students' level is C1 and this dynamic activity can push them to do their best.

This activity is helpful especially for those teachers who have to adapt learning materials from the internet because it is not always possible to use a language laboratory and so it is necessary (as in this case) to make the activities more suitable for the classroom environment.
